Welcome to the Sainsbury's 2015 School Games website. Here you will find all you need to know about the 2015 School Games as well as the latest information and updates.
This year the Games will again return to Manchester for four exciting days of quality sporting action. From 3-6 September, more than 10,000 spectators will watch the UK's best young athletes compete across 12 sports in the city's first-class venues.

Joining athletics, cycling, fencing, gymnastics, hockey, judo, rugby seven's, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, and wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis will be hosted at the Games for the first time this year.

Marking the tenth year of the event, the competition provides leading young athletes with the opportunity to experience an elite event first hand as they aspire to become the UK's next Olympic and Paralympic champions. Adding to the elite competition experience, a show-stopping Opening Ceremony will take place in Manchester Arena while the Games' concluding Closing Ceremony will be held in the Regional Athletics Arena.

Over the last decade, the Games have provided a springboard for many of today's biggest names in sport. Previous competitors include Paralympic gold medallists Ellie Simmonds, Hannah Cockroft and Jonnie Peacock along with GB sprinter Adam Gemili, heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and Olympic gymnasts Max Whitlock and Sam Oldham.
